By itself, with no other mods and no tune; doubt there will be a difference either way. You'll have to stack all bolt ons and get it tuned to see any real gains

Yeah ^^^

Our engines are pretty much maxed out from the factory. Start saving them pennies for a supercharger if you want some noticeable power gains

HRs are massively restricted on the exhaust side.
you can easily hit 300 WHP with just HFCs and a dual exhaust.

DEs Need cams unless you have a revup.

Not going to notice a difference... The k~n looks better, sounds better and is already in their so no need to swap. It also has a nice heat shield.

Default Oily MAF residue

Check if your MAF sensor gets oil on it, though.

K&N intake tube, but why not aFe Pro Air, no oil air filter imho.

I think I read from somewhere/someone who I trust with info pretty well. K&N and alike intake kits and filters actually damage engines over time. Because of the paper type filters they use and what debris it lets into the throttle body that OEM is designed to keep out with its closed design.

Also to OEM box on our Z's are supposed to breathe pretty well.

I personally like the aggressiveness looks of intaked cars. But I hear the benefits are negative to nothing on most modern sports cars.

The TL;DR is that K&N filters and generally oiled filters tend to be less efficient, catch a lot of dirt but clog up quickly, and or just allow too much dirt by for it to be considered a performance increase. The benefit is the re-usability

300 is the magic number for the stock HR with bolt on's, but that still is a tough # to hit, not easy. *anywhere close to that is doing very well; some can get there+.
