2004 350z turns off when it comes to stop sign
good morning to all,
my son has a 2004 nissan 350z. this is a GREAT CAR! the car has had the motor replaced, top replaced, front end suspension replaced, radio and door remotes replaced all under warranty.
when my son drives the automatic car and comes to a stop at a stop sign OR os slowing down, the car SOMETIMES turns off, he can turn it back on and off he goes.
some people say sensor, some people say ARCO cheap high octane gas?
any thoughts? no codes come out BUT one time he did say he had amber lights show up on console but they came off.
thanks in advanced.

I'd never suggest putting cheap gas in a Z, its just false economy. Has he tried doing the "pedal dance" (ECU reset) or throttle body reset? Does the car run OK normally when being driven?

The car is helping your son obey traffic signs and save on fuel economy with the new stop/start feature, Thats a come up!
As for the issue at hand, I had a similar issue on my vehicle, however it was a tuning issue with o2 sensors thanks to the cat-less header and downpipe I had on the car. I would make sure all your emissions and crank sensors are reading properly, and have the ECU checked to see if there's an issue with the new engine.
I would call around to local shops in the area and see if any of them have a real-time diagnostic tablet. That way they can connect it, and do an in person drive test to try and re-create the issue while monitoring the ECU readings to try and pin point whats causing the issue.
