Knocking/ Ticking noise
Most car guys say just pop the hood or get under the bumper as in get your *** in the bay and look.
I don't mean just take the bumper off I mean get on your back and find it lol
well little did i know, this car has 2 belts. so i just looked at the main serpentine belt and saw it was good. but thanks for being an ***. I thanked everyone in the thread for their input and obviously it did help. Most people said a thrown rod or some **** and it wasn't even close so. I was just looking for hopeful advice. Not a smartass remark.
Well I look at it this way, if it happens to another dumbass like me, maybe their first step will be to check their belt and not look so stupid like I did. I'm just here to help others like you guys attempted to help me. And I blew the doors off a GTO this morning so #go350z
Probably not.
They all just hear or see something then make another thread like this one and ask us to fix it. Rather than do a basic inspection.
Another dumb a$$ will be along with a whole new thread.

I'm reminded of a couple of weeks ago, when I was working a corner at the local autocross. Had two young guys working the corner with me. Every time someone hit a cone, one of them would say something like, "what a dumbass", or, "this idiot".
Just saying.
Just saying.
Does the club you autocrossed with post the results online? How many cones did those guys hit/how crappy were their times?
Yes, times are posted. It's the Las Vegas Region SCCA. I don't know their names, so no idea of their times. Doesn't really matter. Point is... No mater how good you are, there's always someone better, so usually a good idea to limit s**t talking in mixed company.
Not as stupid as I seemed before. Actually turned out to be more than the torn belt. That just happened before I got to the dealership. Turns out my push rod and flywheel were loose as hell and the clutch ended up burning up a few days later due to improper installation from the last owner. But old thread is old
