Default How can I display Kph instead of Mph in the trip computer?

I have read the service manual and owners manual trying to find how to set the trip computer to display the speed in kilometres per hour instead of Mph.
I have found nothing yet.
Can you help me with this? Any ideas?

In the owners manual chapter 2 on Instruments an controls, page 2-3 you can not find an explanation on how to perform this task.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

This has been discussed many times over the last 13 years, on this site and several others. Can't be done, and what you get in your car is market-specific.

Really?

I swear I set mine to kph when I first got my Z for fun but quickly changed it back because I got tired of converting it back to mph in my head when driving...

Not 100% sure but swore it was on my Z..

Edit: Yup couldn't change it... must have been on my sport bike then... swore it was on my Z tho

Thanks, this issue was driving me nuts, because the owner manual makes reference to displaying in Mph or Kph.

The only way you're going to get this to show in KM/H is to spend a small fortune on all of the ancilliares to do the job which is just not a cost effective way of going about it.

I bought a USA 03 Z and wanted to switch from MPH to KPH so I bought the unit mentioned in this thread and it worked great. My current 07 is in KPH.

It's a shame Nissan took such an odd approach to systems like this on our cars. It's similar to how they took the individual tire pressure reading function off the HR cars, even though it's still in the computer. Another case of having to switch just the instrumentation to renew that function, but at least those older used gauges are cheap.
