The 2012's and newer are very robust. And it wasn't abuse, that is just normal operation for a GTR, not something that should deter somebody from buying one. At only 5800 miles, I didn't have a lot to worry about. Although personally, I probably wouldn't have been interested in one with over 25,000 miles. Also it wasn't easy finding a dealer that would even let me drive a GTR, so I bet you don't really have too many people test driving them anyway.

Wondering what bb17 thinks about it? Most of the reviewers say it's a PITA to drive normally, but how is it driving around to the store and such? Is the Z a better option for everyday driving?

 

I dont even find the Z a good option for everyday driving... It is very fun to drive though... And most of its daily driving shortfalls are probably mostly my own fault.

That being said I bet I could fit more Costco in a GTR

 

All I can say is that I'm thankful it is not a daily driver. With that said I think it is more daily driveable than my Nismo 350Z and even my normal 350Z I had. The GTR is bigger, quieter, and more comfortable. However, I'm too paranoid about leaving it in a parking lot unattended. Also it sits low to the ground and has even less clearance than my Z. And being such a big car with such a long hood, it is pretty hard to park.

Thankfully I have an Altima these days for daily driving. The only time I'm going to drive the GTR is to have fun with it, and for that it is truly excellent!
