I was told from someone. If you remove the splash guard that protects underneath the engine. It could cause the engine to heat up due to lack of air going into the radiator. Is this true ?

No. It will just rust and weather your parts faster.

It could effect SOME flow, but it's not going to make or break your car. If anything it will just increase pressure in the engine bay slightly effecting flow out. More than flow in

I haven't had my splash guard on for almost two years now and never had any heat issues. However, I don't recommend you taking yours off due to what CK said. Only reason mine came off was because it was sagging to the ground and scraping.

The splash guard will assist in scavenging air out of the radiator. It was designed to provide a smoother transition on the backside of the radiator to allow air to flow through and out of the engine compartment. Whether it causes your engine to overheat depends on the conditions and how you're driving, but why take something off that makes your car work more efficiently?

I removed mine once and went for a drive. The hood started to shake violently at 75 mph+ . Next day i put it back on and the shaking stopped. Not only does it helps the rigidity of the bumper bit it also helps channel airflow underneath the car, but it also help protect the engine bay from dirt and water getting pushed in by turbulent air flow.

And, a quality aftermarket shroud, like this one os even more effective, and provice additional support/rigidity for the nose:

And if that's not enough, it provides some real protection for the engine bay. I hit some kind of debris on the interstate one night in a terrible thunderstorm, and this is what happened to the shield:

Front section from bumper to core support are the most important IMO

Because the dumb azz didn't listen to me and thought he knew better and it would be fine.

How dented did the oil pan get? Im thinking about swapping my engine cradle aka front subframe at some point... Im wondering how I am going to keep the engine up when I do...

It's about a 5"x5" dent I'd say any where from 3/4" to 1 1/2" deep.

I'll snap a photo tonight. I've just been ignoring it not wanting to deal with it this week

I'm just hoping to god the pick up wasn't bent or anything from it

another +1 for Zspeed shroud.... (and get the metal fly wheel cover while at it) - picture of mine after running over piece of curbstone about the size of a cobble stone in roadway at about 35mph...
