Default P0373 intermittent code

So I've been fighting with this code ever since I replaced the cams in my car. Sometimes it throws the code and won't start. Usually after trying to start the car 10-15 times cold the code goes away and runs fine. The p0373 code reads timing reference error. I replaced cam and crank sensors. I'm wondering if an oring or something didn't fall out when I was installing the front cover. I didn't replace the timing chain or tensioners when I had it apart everything looked fairly new so I didn't want to spend money I didn't have to. I've noticed that if Ive been driving the car and stop for food or whatever it will start back up and run fine. But if it sits over night and fully cools it throws the code and won't start. This one has me scratching my head. I know I set the cam timing correctly cause the car runs fine when it will start. Any ideas guys? I need to get this sorted out fairly quickly.

I looked up your code in the Service Manual and couldn't find it. Are you sure it's P0373? Did you use a code reader or the pedal dance to determine the code?

I'm 100% sure P0373 is the code it's spitting. I'm reading it with my laptop through the Haltech Platinum Pro plug n play.

I'm still a noob with the Haltech and the FI Z scene, but did you get a tune after you installed those cams? Your ECU may be trying to confirm the 'old cam reference' data that it already has logged with these 'new numbers' its receiving from the new cams..

I have an update for this trouble code situation. I contacted Haltech and let them know what's going on. Matt told me that there are some flywheel variations on the 350Z's that have given them problems in the past. He said my car may be affected by it. They are supposed to be getting with me for a fix I will post an update when I get it figured out.

Honestly I'm not 100% sure what actually fixed it. I ended up replacing the timing chain, guides, tensioners, switched to oem cam/crank sensors and found a half broken wire on the crank sensor harness. But that cleared it up. The Haltech seems to throw that code for a variation of reasons. The map sensor vacuum line came off and the car was running rough and it threw the P0373 code which I thought was odd. It has come back a few times but I clear it and it stays away for weeks. Hasn't caused any issues or starting problems it just randomly appears and I clear it.
