Hello everyone! First I want to say that the Z community is awesome about helping each other out and posting useful solutions to common issues.
I need your help on this one guys. My top has 3 stretch marks, on the passenger side, below the rear window, and looks like it will rip eventually in those three spots (see pic). I heard that the sharp wire guides or clips are responsible for this but I am looking for a definite answer and where these may be and how to modify them if need be how to get to them.
How do I stop this from happening and how to prevent the top from tearing in these spots? Why is this happening? Lol

been such a headache with this car from day one.

 

The original vinyl over canvas design sure had it's problems, I replaced my 06 with canvas. The stretch marks to the right of the window are caused by the lever inside a pocket which is used to keep that section from sagging. The others look like normal wear and tear ( pun intended ).

Best thing you can do at this point short of changing the top-
Put some Gorilla tape on the inside of the areas, and never leave your top down overnight. Good luck!
