Agree...the car is a lot of fun with the top-down, I really enjoy owning one.

I like that color a lot but...expectation is set with the friend...she's gotta go.

Yeah, no, gonna sell it. But between now and a month or so when it's all ready to go, gonna put one of my other wheel sets on just fer sh*ts n' grins then go play up in the hills...open air style.

To get it out of my system.

Like "If a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, does it still make a sound?", I ask, "If I had the car less than two weeks and drove it maybe 50 miles, did I ever really own it?"

The ZR is leaving my "care" this weekend.

BTW, I know the answer to the first question above....

It falls to the ground without any sound other than perhaps a faint "whoosh" and dusting of leaves.

But shortly after, if you listen carefully, you can hear the very faint emanation of..... "Oh, f**k."

EDIT: Added the final pics of it in my care (unless I go take some new pics in the morning before our friend comes to pick it up.)

Oh, in case yer wondering, yeah, the car needed new tahrs; so gave her the option of my either putting new tahrs on the Track V.1s or get the "upgraded" whills with brand new tires on them for same cost as new ones on existing wheels.

Howz that make sense for me? I keep the Track wheels. All good too cuz the Enkei A-Is don't really look too good on my other car that can use them so I break even and avoid hassle of selling the Enkeis on CL or here.

Final "mod"....

A warm and highly personalized original component.

Replaced with a soulless, impersonal "statement" of bland cleanliness...

I might include the original piece though.... my "autograph" IS valuable, you know.

Annnnnnnd, it's gone to a new happy owner!!

She had a problem 30 mins after driving away.... "I can't close the passenger window!"

Hmmmm, was going to go over to her house tomorrow morn. Then, as I was driving along to go get some food..... "Hey, get in your car and push the window lock button then try it."

Done and done. Laff....

So now I can spend my time working on the old car! Or maybe.... "Hmmmm, what's next?"

Man, that blue ZR looks great with those gold wheels and "tahrs"! May your friend enjoy that ride for a good, long time...

Nahhh, I don't roadside. That's for Trip-A.

As far as real repairs beyond how the car was sold to her - condition of which I take responsibility for - well, Rob at ZCG has already started a file for the car. Serious.
