Default 2005 Headlamp Replacement Recommendations?

New here, I have a 2005 350Z w/44K. The headlamps are fogging over and look terrible - What are the best replacement headlamps you know of?
Thanks

Welcome

- If you want to retain the OEM look and not have to buy new lights, I would suggest trying out the Mothers Kit. It's a legit product. I've had great results. http://www.mothers.com/02_products/0...F0ysMksMaGC.97

- If you like the aftermarket look you can check out DEPO. https://conceptzperformance.com/depo...h2_p_17221.php

Three choices, in order of worst to best lighting performance, and at the same time, least to most cost.

1) Use the Mother's kit, which indeed works very well, but either remove the headlights during the process, or mask the paint on the hood and bumper off very thoroughly.

2) Install set of DEPO (No other aftermarket brand) Bi-Xenon ('07>) headlights, which are very good reps of the OEM lights on the HR cars. There are a few threads here about the wiring required, parts needed, etc. Find and read them well. You can get them with a black or chrome housing, but the black seem more common.

3) OEM Bi-Xenon lights. As #2, but OEM and more expensive. Best performance you'll get, but the DEPO are vry close. Get the DEPO.

Finally, buy good (NOT Chinese-made) HID bulbs from a reputable vendor. 4300K-5500K will offer the best vision, but you can use 6000K if you want to go a little ricey (blue-tint). Good bulbs are made by Sylvania, Osram, Philips, Morimoto. No eBay crap or something from an Amazon third-party vendor, and expect to pay as much as $80 or more for the pair.

I recommend refinishing the headlights. Give the Mother's or 3M kit a try. Follow-up with some UV protectant clearcoat. I've used
SafeTClear SafeTClear
and gotten excellent results. SafeTclear also makes complete kits that are much cheaper than the 3M or Mother's options, but I can't speak for their sanding discs/kits, just the clear coating they offer.

Polishing headlights will keep them looking good for only weeks or maybe a few months. You really need a UV clear coat to make plastic lenses look good for years.

I've had good luck w. the DEPO repro. HID and halogen lights.
I have a spare new 03+ Halogen if you're in the market.

So, what is this "fleshlight" that you speak of?

Oh wait.... ohhhhhhhhhhhh.....

Wellllllll, the Fleshlight option also answers the question posed in the "How to have sex in your 350Z?" threads. Very handy idea...

More like how to have sex by yourself in your Z.

I knew that sex thread would be my demise. At least mine wasn't a 'how-to'. I asked you guys if you were asked because I was asked by a couple younger guys at work. Not that I care. It was just shop talk.
