Quick clutch question
Hey folks, I hope you're doing well. I bought an 2006 350z knowing that it needed a couple things done, figured out what was wrong with the convertible top, now I've got to figure out the deal with the clutch (I likely need a new one)
First thing I did was check the fluid level, it was a little low so i filled it up. Then I jacked the car up and took off the driver side front wheel and took off the fender lining to get some access to the slave cylinder. It DOES move when the clutch is depressed, as it should, so I'm led to believe that the clutch is completely worn. I can have the engine on with the car in gear and take my foot completely off the clutch so I'm presuming it's toast, I'm just not familiar with the vehicle so perhaps there's something I should check.
Lastly as a side question, I appear to have a leak from my valve cover gasket so I'm planning on replacing that. But to get to it I have to remove the plenum which looks to have some weird metal gasket/spacer. Does this need to be replaced? Mine is quite dirty so perhaps it needs to be replaced but I'm not really sure
Thanks again
