Default Need exhaust suggestions

Just got a 350z and i already want to start modding it. Im looking for a nice sounding exhaust that doesn't break the bank. im looking for something priced close to $300 at most. I would prefer dual but single exit is acceptable. please give me some suggestions

Just type "Nissan 350Z Exhaust System" on EBay and you'll find something in your price range.. Keep in mind, that if you go that route, you might run into fitment issues as well as possible cracking at weld points down the road.

If you just want some extra sound go for a muffler delete, you're just gonna open up a can of worms buying cheap parts and hoping for the best

Better to save your money for quality parts than buy a cheap ebay exhaust.

$300....

Seriously, you haven't checked vendors that support this site for an exhaust system, have you? Minimum buy in for a half decent exhaust is at least $750(+)

If you're serious and can't ante up for that, go on EBay and pick one up.

At your budget, you'd be lucky to buy a glasspack and have somebody weld it on.

Leave the stock one on, at that price range you are way better off stock. May I suggest something used? https://my350z.com/forum/exhaust/616...n-catback.html

here's a couple of good suggestions first off do some good research, everybody has different taste and different preference in sound and quality, learn about the brands that are quality and leave the rest alone.Take your time and make good decisions don't you want your baby to have the best,if your on a budget you can buy your exhaust by each component the muffler, the y-pipe or xyz-pipe,high flow cats etc. until you have everything you need to complete your exhaust then you can assemble it.
It may take awhile base on your budget but best believe it will be something you can be proud of.

Honestly. I've seen a Z that has the muffler flange broken off and it actually sounded pretty good. A muffler delete or gut is your cheapest option.

Even finding a used exhaust at that price is going to be hard

You're looking at used for that price range. If you're looking for a new exhaust, there's the ISR axle back exhaust, which is very good. You'd be running stock y-pipe. The only catback for that price range is an HKS rep. I would save more money for a good exhaust.

Is their a goodwill for car parts... I got lucky and sold my cheesy aftermarket exhaust for only a small loss after about 500-1000 miles of use... It was already rusting and looking like ****... I cleaned it up and sold it for $150 with a set of fans and shroud and still didnt think I gave a great deal...

Save up like $600 and you can get a decent used one, or maybe you will get lucky and find someone who knows very little and is giving away their S-tune for $300 because they want more sound.

If you're "ready to start modding" and only have $300 for an exhaust, you should just drive it in stock form. That $300 would be better spent on maintenance that was probably overlooked by previous owners.
