my parents will if i complained about driving an infiniti QX4

oh yea, if your parents will actually get what u ask... might as well ask for something more expensive like a S4, C32, or M3... might as well...

I went with the enthusiast because I saw it as best value. It has the little things I want like factory hids. TCS is somewhat bothersome, but it is a nice feature to have when it rains. Cruise Control is a feature I've been using more and more lately since it helps me control my speed so I don't have to worry about cops. LSD, i don't know the difference because I've never driven the base model, but it couldn't hurt. If you factor in putting all those things in with aftermarket parts and not having a warranty then ur pretty much at the same price as just getting an enthusiast. I'm sorry to chime in here, altho I'm not that much older than you are (22).. 2 years of driving really isn't ****. I went 2 years with a perfect record and then 3 speeding tickets in 2 months.. and this is way before I got my Z.
Be safe and have fun. The more you love the car, the more it loves ya back

i think this guy's being way to appreciative of his parents. like sharpst77 said, he needs to start demanding like a corvette or an m3.

seriously though if i ever see this guy irl i'm gonna run him off the road.

You do that buddy =) Then go run my friends with Escalades and Navigators off the road also. Because I have a small $28,xxx car while they have $60,000 and thats not mentioning their other cars that the have.

Yes that is my house. And man you guys might be older than me but have serious maturity problems.

I would think your parents would be happy to pop for the extra 2 Gs for the Enthusiast model if they understand it provides equipment that makes the car safer for you.

If I was going to buy one of my sons a new Z, I would not let them have the Base simply because I think those extra safety features (LSD & TCS) on the Enthusiast are worth it................how good a driver you are is not the issue.

Good advice, I didnt have any way to convince them that the enthusiast model was worth the money other than the HIDs, didnt even think to pull the safty thing. And yeah I know I dont have to **** up inorder to get into a crash, like if I hydroplane maybe TCS and a LSD might beable to save my ***...

Get the enthusiast you will be much happierin the long run and judging by your grammar/sentence structure you seem to be a mature/intelligent guy for your age. Get the Enthusiast and enjoy it, what color do you like?

I dont ever want a black car again because of all the hassle, so probably Chrome Silver or Silverstone.

no that's not why. i realize these ppl exist and it doesn't make me mad. but when someone comes here, makes it a point to explain every annoying detail about their spoiled life (e.g. he's 17, he wasn't satisfied with his infiniti, blah blah) instead of just asking the simple question he came here to ask.... that's irritating.

amen to that- people really need to stop including these little petty details that have no relevence to the site. if he didnt want to get bitched at, he wouldnt of added that useless information. aside from that, the fact he didnt bother using the search didnt help his situation much either.

all this thread needs is a picture of en-glaived by his car and his house behind him and he would get owned

dont take any of this personally though, we all just pretty much jealous that our parents bought us broke *** honda civics instead of sports cars

its not the age factor, its the spoiled factor. i work my *** off for payments.

as for the answer to your questions, the LSD will help you a lot on the auto-x, but aftermarket ones will help you a lot more. getting a base model limits you to the NISMO LSD since its the only one out that comes with all the parts you need to do the conversion. as for the HIDs, you cant really beat the stock xenons with an aftermarket kit (halogen conversions) unless you bought the OEM headlights which will cost upwards of about $600 each.

haha...dont try to get cocky man. i know for a fact you are not richer than me...unless you make $22/hr or more. your parents more than likely are...and your parents have a nice house.

its not that i, or anyone else on here is jealous. i just feel that you need to learn the value of a dollar. when i turned 16 my father couldve easily bought me a supra, m3, or s4....but instead he bought me a '91 prelude that he paid $4000 cash for. told me to get a job if i wanted something else, at least he got me close to what i wanted....a manual tranny coupe. so i drove it for a while, modifications here and there, after a while i was able to afford a VTEC prelude that i wanted at the time. its not that my parents didnt love me, they wanted me to know what its like to work for something you want. i admit, i was kinda pissed that i ended up with a 7 year old car when two weeks before my dad bought a 32' boat, then after my b-day bought my mother a brand new lexus. but now i thank them for that cause it makes me appreciate my rides even more...and you dont have to put up with the kids talking behind your back about "he didnt pay for that...mommy and daddy did" ive also got a 22 year old friend whose parents got him a brand new Tacoma before he turned 16. drove that for two years and got a year old Tahoe , drove that for another couple years and his parents bought him a new BMW 5 series. now he's 22, still living with his parents with a part time job and his parents telling him to get out of the house. but im done with my preaching...good luck to you though and dont take your parents for granted.

I understand the value of a dollar, Theres a reason I am not trying to get a track model, I want to make it as cheap as possible for my parents. Thats why im stuck between Enthus. and Base because I dont want to make them unload alot of money on me. But whatever im unwelcomed here so i probably wont ever post here again, some of you guys are very rude and some of you aren't. I have been on many many car forums and by far this is the worst in the case of maturity. Even Honda-Tech.com seems to be more mature(no offense but people dont get nearly as much **** there).

Also, I do have a job. I make $12.50 an hour at a court reporting office in Tampa. I am just a copy guy and a file runner but i still have a job. I really like how some of you assume alot of things, of course my mother got me my job, I am still the one working it.

Your mom got you a job that pays 12.50/hr! Id be lucky if my mom got me a job at McDonalds when I was 18.

Every newbie is unwelcome at first! You just got off a bad start. Try not to get to personal on your threads and always remeber to use the search before you post somthing that may have been answered already.

Every forum is different. You might want to try 350zmotoring.com to be a little more your speed, but I find that people are a lot more **** there. I recommend making a new name and starting over.
