Default Idle drop at warm temp start up?

Hey guys, I have a 2008 HR 350z.

When I start my car once it's at operating temp. the idle dips to near stall (around 200 rpms) then goes back up to a steady 700-800 rpms. But the car drives fine and idles normally at lights. There are no CEL codes.

What could the problem be?

You need to do an idle air relearn. There is a way to do this with a pedal dance but the easiest solution is using NDSIII with a capable bluetooth reader.

I have not done that as of yet because I just wanted to know the main reason for the issue so I could just pinpoint the problem

Thanks, I will try the idle relearn procedure and see if that fixes the issue.

nobody will be able to diagnose your car from behind a keyboard.

LMFAO, while I do agree with that, I was just curious to see if anyone else has/had the same issue that i'm having. And it would be easier for me to troubleshoot the problems.

there is a throttle position relearn that wouldnt hurt to be done, along with plugs, cleaning the MAF... but no matter what, NEVER TOUCH THE THROTTLE BODY BUTTERFLY

Thanks for the heads up. I originally assumed it would just need a MAF clean and a tune up. Might as well have everything done
