Default Blower Motor 350z 03

I don't get it. Got the dash off, replace evap, expansion, hoses, got it all back to together but cant get the bolts to line up in the blower unit. I can put the unit on the pin, but it will not slide left to line up the screws in the evap housing. Section ATC in manual doesn't really say much. I see there foam JOINT on the blower unit that does not insert into the right sideof the heater case.

I'm fighting this thing, Any suggestions, it cant be that hard to put back.

Was the force to the left? or did the heater unit cause the resistance? I cant tell if the rear pin wont give or if the joint doesnt go back into the heater case.

I lined up that pin, then just forced it in.

I always wonder why people ask questions and never share FIX.

Here is the result for dummies like me. When the blower motor is assembly at factory, Nissan must insert the joint into the blower and then assemble the two sections of the heater case before then attach to the firewall. There is a plastic tab build into the receiving end that locks the joint in place, but it blocks the blower joint from being inserted after the car is built.
I partially cut the tab, and bent it up at the top of the opening, and the blower unit slipped right into place.

The ATC make no mention of this being a potential problem.
