Default 350Z a/c blower motor

Newbie to the My350Z site.

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction with a blower motor issue on my 2006 350Z. Everything worked perfectly and then the fan just stopped coming on whether it's on a/c or heat. Fan speed **** also has no effect.
The first thing I did was swap out both 15 amp fuses marked "blower" in the fuse box by the driver's side dead pedal even though both looked fine. After that didn't work, I figured it must be the blower motor itself, so I bought a new one and switched it out. NOTHING.
I understand that there may (or may not) be a "blower motor relay" located behind the fuse panel by the driver's side dead pedal. I ran out of time last night, but I did pull the plastic shroud off to expose the entire fuse panel. It appears that there are 3-4 bolts holding it in place and it looks like I will need to remove the dead pedal to get to 1-2 of them.

Has anybody had similar issues and what was the fix?

Thanks for the feedback!...............Joel

I believe I'm having the exact same issue with same year car.

Does your blower come on at all? at random or just nothing?

Mine will eventually come on, but its completely random.

You probably need to replace the hvac control unit. When you pull out the console, it's the white box with the ribbon connecting to the ac *****.

Reviving the dead. Is there anyway to test the control unit? My a/c and heat only works at random. As mentioned above, fan speed/temp/zone have no effect. Once it's on everything functions properly. I thought it could be the relay as well until I read this thread. Also tried unplugging the control unit and re connecting but it didn't help.

Any suggestion/input is appreciated

The a/c amp can be tested at a dealership using a CONSULT tool. Given how expensive they are to replace, I wouldn't recommend back probing into the unit unless you have extensive experience in automotive electronic troubleshooting and repair, a good scope and an OEM spec wiring diagram.

Honestly if that's my only option I'll prob just shell out the $350 considering they're prob gona charge me $200 just to "diagnose" it-Let alone the cost of the part. I'll order the relay first and cross my fingers but if not, replace the unit.

I hope you don't end up replacing parts you don't need. That can get expensive fast. Try your area junkyards first. It's been my experience that some of the mom and pop yards will let you test the part to see if it fixes the issue before you shell out the cash. The CONSULT test shouldn't cost more than $80 at flat-rate from the dealership. They'll know within a few minutes if the part's broken.

I have the same problem with my 2006 350z. Would someone tell me for sure where is the AC/Htr resistor located?
