Yup. Before BaT got big, there were deals to be had there. No longer. (But could be the overall market for collector cars.) They are selective in who can sell there and I guess it shows with the prices cars go for there. I find it kind of "amusing" (not amusing, maybe startling) how Hemmings, the original motorhead bible for selling cars and parts can't seem to get any traction in the online auction space. Then there's the public live auctions like Mecum that have gotten huge.

This one seems worth it and the horrid appliques can be removed. But that overlayed dash….. gag.

$25,420, failed to make reserve. The effort the seller put in (added content several times), it doesn’t surprise me there was a high reserve.

Well, here's something new on BaT. A set of Nissan/Nismo LMGT4 Mags (magnesium)
This is the first set of NON-Porsche/Fuchs wheels I've seen on BaT. At the current price of $2,700. with abut 3 hours to go, these are easily worth that dollar. (I'd buy these way before all of the other crazily priced TEs, and Weds wheels out there.)

That's pretty awesome and good to know regarding value. I got my LMGT4s back in 2016 from a forum member for less than half that price!
Edit: Saw they were magnesium. That's pretty freaking sweet!

Interesting that three RED Nismos have been up on BaT in the last year.
First one sold for $40k (only 1,400 miles!)
Last week's one hit $25k not meeting reserve.
And this one at $36.3k explains why the above one didn't sell. Went up on same day the other closed and with only 9k miles. Sheesh, and I thought I sold mine with low miles (~34k)
But ya, glad I had the fun over the last ten years (my last go'round buying and selling Nissans - 9 of 'em) as the prices now are just ridiculous. Beat up, not running S30s for five figures? I think not.

Just listed: 2006 Grand Touring - Automatic - Michigan Area 17k miles
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-nissan-350z-23/
Closes Thursday, August 4, 2022
My forecast: Won't make artificially high reserve due to transmission type. Nothing against ATs, just think it will lower the realistic buy price. But mileage may prove me wrong.
