JDM rev up engine? whats the word
hurt the motor in my 05 anniversary revup car.
locally here in town is a JDM engine depot and they have a few motors.
I did a JDM engine swap on the wifes subaru WRX
we took the JDM engine down to the long block. and swapped all the other parts back ffrom her car back onto the JDM block.
is this the same thing?
are they drop in complete? change some front drive? a few sensors?
Looking for advise. my other option is a LKQ or car-part engine used of unknown quality.

Well i will be dealing with a rev up.
So basically pull my motor.
swap over the starter.
plug everything in?
any snags or gotchas ? fuel lines? or injectors or exhaust or anything.
any sensor issues?

engine mount brackets were different but may be because it came from an auto. Also there is a sleeve in the crankshaft that will need to be pulled to install the pilot bearing. A pilot bearing puller on a slide hammer makes this easy. My engine didn't come with a starter so not really an issue. I don't remember anything else being different and not much should be. Only real difference from US spec and jdm is right hand drive. I did notice the partial harness that came with the engine was different but if you need replacement pigtails it is worth saving what you can.
