(FIXED) P0303 Engine miss fire (not on z but G35)
Sorry I know the car in question is not a 350z, but it is a 2005 g35 which has the same motor.
I just want to make sure I got my cylinder numbers right
passenger side cylinder numbers are 1,3,5
drivers side cylinder numbers are 2,4,6
Right?
so P0303 should be the middle cylinder on passenger side, right?

So what is going on here?
What is shorting and why ? I imagine since it shorting there, I can just get a new boot and the coil is fine ?

well I should have removed the coil BEFORE ordering the new coil (oem from amazon). The new coil did the trick of course. But I am going to buy just the boot to fix the old coil as I suspect it is still fine.
The little spring inside the old run is fine...not sure why the arc decided to find its way out of the boot the way it did.

going to buy a replacement boot and see if that works too, I suspect it will....thus I'll have a spare for either this car or my Z
