Road trip to Vegas Sat morning....

I altered this post because I realize that what I did may encourage others. And you shouldn't do what I did.

It was dumb and I put other poeple's lives in danger.

Just know this. Yes, I now know you can hang with a 2002 911 convertible.

 

I am getting my popcorn ready.

 

I did the samething premods with a 911 Cab, probably a 2003. Through three gears, dead even.

Hehe. It's true. Here's the story. I'm at a red light. Cars to the left, cars behind me. Old guy yapping on the phone in the bicycle lane. He's not turning right. He's trying to skip through all the cars in front of him. I think to myself, I don't think so. I turn off VDC. Launch at about 2k. First, dead even. Second, dead even. third dead even. Went up to a little less than 100 mph.

No BS.

 

I would respond with....have you ever been at top speed with an un-modded 911?

If you have, then you'd know it not to be BS.

The only other way would be if that the 911 driver was not letting it all out. Which is possible. But I find it odd that he would have held anything back when we were already doing what we were doing. Which was 135mph.

Besides, your'e in the wrong area to post this, should be in street racing area. FYI!

 

There is no reason why the Z can not keep close to a 911 Convertible.

wonder what these porsche guys feel like when they get beaten by srt4s. i'm sure it's happened. even evos and stis must get under their skin.
