Any experience with Stance XR1 Suspension
Hey all,
I have an 08 350z. I got an offer for a like new set of Stance XR1 coilovers. I’ve never heard of them before. After doing research they seem to be pretty good. I’m not building a track car, it’s a daily so I don’t want an uncomfortable ride and I’m not slamming either.
Does anyone have any experience with these?
Thank you!

Concur. Coilovers aren’t really needed on the street unless you want to play with height adjustments for shows and such. Jounce and rebound adjustments aren’t a big thing with most people and unless you corner balance, waste of money.
OK, with that out of the way.... had a set of those but not on Z33. Guy I bought my Z31 Turbo from put them on. Horrid ride as expected from most sub-$1000 coilovers. I adjusted them to zero preload and whatever I could do to tame them. Better but still uncomfortable. Was shopping for Bilsteins and springs when the car got totalled in front of my house.

Let me clarify..... coilovers DO have a place; but 90% of the street cars running them are doing so for the wrong reason: "Because 'experts' on social media say they're the only way to go."
But I would bet that only a very small percentage of people who install them actually know how to do two way adjustments properly (although on my set, they were single action double adjust so pretty easy). I could be wrong but I doubt it. Stance actually has a decent reputation but I tend to believe that anyone who mentions "comfort" and "performance" in the same sentence won't be too happy with them. IMO, there's still no better substitute - in a street only car - than a good set of shocks and springs, e.g., Bilstein/Eibach ProKit or somesuch. Don't know how much you're getting them for but a set of Bilstein ProKit is "only" about $900. just to compare.
