Jesus. Lets take a moment to appreciate that A pillar, the real hero here. Thats impressive.
No mods matter if you dont have Tires. One of the crappiest thing to spend 1000 bucks on but the most necessary. I wish kids would learn that.

Have to disagree with the tires comment here. OP already said tires were not the problem. This ZR came with summer performance tires, but the new owner went around a corner, got on the throttle early and likely spun it off the road and into a roll. That happens with a cold day, cold tires and a powerful RWD car. Those four tiny contact patches are the only thing that allow us to steer, brake and stop our beautiful Zs. They're NOT "one of the crappiest thing to spend 1K on..." I love my tires and all the technology in them! I wish kids would have the instruction to learn about them!

Agreed. This story also highlights the need to learn both the driver's limits AND the tire's limits. It's extremely fortunate the occupants walked away as this was truly
a Darwin moment.
