Oh hotchkis, why can you not use a tape measure. I own the newest iteration of their 350Z sway bars. They have the fancy stop collars so they supposedly won't move around. Well I have heard some intermittent squeaking and finally today I hear them clunking. I knew they were moving.

Got under the car today and sure enough. They have an inch of play. Can they not measure right to out the stays in the right spot? Well I managed to get a collar on the side of the outside of the driver side one so that should keep it from loving for now. I'm going to grind down another collar so it will fit on the inside of the passenger side sway bar mount. It's about an 1/8th inch to big to fit in that (what I consider to be ridiculously large for an expensive performance part) space between their stay and the bracket.

Here's some pics to see how poorly they measured

This is the case on all of theirs. PVC pipe cut into a sleeve is the fix. Mines been like that for 3+ years on the track without an issue.

Maybe you should call or email them instead of complaining on here....

I know I know, makes entirely too much sense

LOL, he does this on every thread I post. I just sit back and laugh now.

But seriously, what is the PVC idea? Just cut some PVC pipe and turn it into collars? I suppose that would work

Interesting. I did not notice that on mine. I know whiteline makes the lockout rings that can prevent that also.
Are you using the supplied sway bar bushings? looks a bit slimmer than my OEM bushings.

And THAT is the reason I got Whiteline the second time around, Hotchkis bars leave a lot to be desired.

I used their bushings. My OEM ones actually crumbled as they came out of the brackets. I'm going to see how it goes with this collar on the end. I'll shave the other one down and try to fit it in that large space on the other side.

Ran to the grocery and it wasn't making noise so we will see

I'm in the process of front main seal. Snapped a pic of my set up for you. I have that slight gap also, but no clunks.

Haha yep, well hidden by a splitter. I actually forgot I had them until I seen this thread. Haven't had any issues or clunking whatsoever.
