Default Modded 2006 350z with Check Engine Light

I’m considering buying a 2006 350z that is modded already with a supercharger and an exhaust, but what worry’s me is that the check engine light appears. So my question is, is that normal since it has the mods?

the z has 43k miles on it and has had a recent oil change, what would you suggest? Would tunning it help or is something probably installed wrong?

I looked at my internet mechanic crystal ball, sponsored by WebMD, and it said the car had syphilis.

Nobody will be able to tell you without putting hands on it,. Go have the code read and get a pre purchase inspection done by a shop familiar with forced induction, with a check engine light it wont even pass a state inspection.

I agree with Travlee... have it checked out at a shop that knows Z's. My car is supercharged and has constant codes because of the arc features and my high volume fuel pump.

This car could be throwing a code for something serious or something that doesn't really matter.
