Default Steering wheel controls

Hi I bought a 08 HR 350z with aftermarket double din kenwood radio, and the steering wheel controls on left side for volume up/ down, mode, etc don't work. How can I get those to work again?? Please help Thanks in advance

you need to buy a steering wheel control interface adapter, see below for an example

This why I use pioneer never need the interface and we have in 6 vehicles now chevy Mazda and our 350z. You can get the interface at Amazon, eBay or your local audio shop. I think walmart even carries them as well.

So if I buy a pioneer double din I don't need the extra adapter or what did you mean by that? Do I still need adapter, I was getting aswc-1 for the steering controls. Thank you for your help

Thank you for the info I think the pack swi rc isn't right or available anymore. I found the awsc-1 or something is what I need but there's so many and it's really confusing.

We have not needed the adapter. But I have read some people do. I know pioneer used to make some of their head units that stated on box integrated steering wheel controls. Those are the ones we used and have not needed the separate steering wheel kit.
