Need a tailight asap, cant get a 2007 + (led) tailight for a couple months. Just wondering if the connection from the car to the unit is compatible with the previous year versions of the 350z's tailight.

Yes. 2003 to 2005 tails did not have LED..2006 thru 2008 they had LED tail lights so the fitment replacement is the same from 2003 thru 2008.

 

Assuming you're getting it used, just double check that the 03-05 tailight comes with the bulb harness, it is a separate harness that attaches where the 06-08 leds harness connects, same plug same function, but most people just twist out the bulbs to remove the older style taillight and could easily forget to remove the bulb harness that you'd need.
