In all honesty, the maintenance of the GTR is absurd unless money is no object and if that's the case I'd rather get a RS6 or RS7, bigger and more comfortable and just as capable of fun.

i agree the maintenance on a GT-R is up there. I have never fallen in love w Audis so never really look at them. The only one that does occasionally catch my my eye is the R8.
There is something cool about wagons IMO, don't know it you like them... the RS7 has to be my favorite sedan bar none. With that TTV8 the performance is there, I think if I had to have a GTR I would look for a R33 or R34 before anything else.
I am the outlier I guess, but last drove mine yesterday, and every single day before that. Drove 16k miles on it last year. Get it in boost every drive at least some.
07 Touring Turboed with 187k miles.
Just drove it on Sunday after replacing the battery. Got about 135k on it and since it's covered in a blanket of snow/ice right now it probably won't be going anywhere for a minute.
I admit it. My Z is a garage queen. I have owned for for 17 1/2 years and it now has just over 28,000 miles. Here is a picture of the odometer and a picture of my car sitting in the garage connected to my Battery Tender.

If driven easy you can get really decent mpg. That is usually not the case however. LOL
consider getting some towels or rags to keep it clean... I keep my on a shelf right next to my car, right above my cleaning supplies... (couldnt resist).

I bought my 2007 enthusiast new. 14 years later, it has 24,000 miles! Only driven in summer! Definite garage queen.
It is still great fun to drive 6 speed stick! Zero problems, of course. It’s stock, but it rocks!
I live in Canada, so snow flies throughout the winter. When I first bought it I wintered it through 2 winters, but have had a different vehicle to give the z a break for the last 3 winters. I usually daily it all summer, might not this year with the truck though.

This afternoon removed the wheel covers & cover.
It started as if I drove it last night.
Only thing I needed to do was pump-up the tire pressure.
Very easy to set up. Can have it up and down in about 10-15 mins. Drive onto the mat, roll the bubble part over the car. There is a zipper going all the way around on both connecting the two. Then at the one side there is basically a large PC fan with a filter on it. The fan fills up the bubble and holds it steady. One of the best things I bought, keeps the car dust free all winter long. Take it out in the spring and it is as clean as it was when I put it away for winter. The air inside is strong enough too that if something did fall against the bubble the car is protected, within reason of course lol.

Removed the z under a moderately inexpensive car cover a couple of days ago following 4 months of very nasty snow/ice/wind Winter. It came out dry & exactly as clean when it went under.
