Default Ecu production date

Hello everyone,

Today I figured out that I will need to replace my ecu and the dealership no longer carries the ecu in stock.

I have been searching for a another ecu and I think I found the one I need. However, my question is, does production date matter when replacing the ecu.

I know it has to be the same spec as your car.
like transmission, year etc I wasn’t sure if production date matters to. Any insight to this would be much appreciated!

I'd suggest looking for another ECM with the same serial # as listed on the outside of the casing of the one you're replacing.

Just a general question .. Nissan says my PN is 23710-CE805 which was updated to 23710-CE806.

Which is now discontinued. Is it fair to say that pn 23710-CE806 Is MEC35-320C2 ?

Correct- updated part #s can be updated and backdated. Almost all Z33 parts have been discontinued and you'll need to find them on fleabay or salvage yards.
