Just curious
Can somebody explain to me why, on cars with all wheel disc brakes (not just my Z), there is always a TON of brake dust on the front wheels and virtually NONE on the rear. I know the front brakes work harder than the rear, but I would not expect the difference to be quite as dramatic. Thanks for answering what is certainly not a real important question and, in fact, is probably just dumb.
Because the majority of your braking is done by the front brakes. Think of the weight distribution when you're braking... 80-90% of the weight is transferred to the front, thus the front brake pads are being used more.
