Default RADIATOR FANS / repair replace oem or aftermarket

Hi everyone

I have been reading through the forums and trying to find out what to do about my radiator fans.
one side has completely stopped working passenger side on uk model I believe it to be for the air on and over certain temps.

I origanlly ordered the mishimoto fan shroud but it never got delivered and after reading around it’s apparently extremely loud

I nearly opted to buy a new motor and replace it but I came across this NRF 47303 fan replacement and this is what I have now ordered.
do you think this will be ok the car hasn’t really overheated since the fan went off I was going to
order genuine fans from tourqen but they are £450
this does seem way cheaper but also close to the mishimoto price hopefully without the noise has anyone tried these nrf or any advice or help I appreciate.
Link to the fan I bought

cheers

There are some steps to getting the Mishimoto fan where it needs to be.

1. Take it out of the box.
2. Rewire it so it has dual operation.
3. Cut a bunch of holes in the shroud and add rubber blow-through flaps.
4. Throw it in the bin/recycle.

The factory shroud and fans work best on the Z. Instead of replacing the whole unit, you can replace just the motors. Z1 carries this model from TYC:

While you’re working on the cooling system, be sure your relays in the IPDM aren’t bad. You can find the part number for replacement relays (you need not replace the whole IPDM) through a forum search. They’re from a Nissan Frontier or some such. At ~$20 ea it’s some good maintenance. The IPDM takes 3 of the fan control-sized relays.

Default Thanks

I’ll have a look on z1 I’m in the uk and managed to get that unit for £135 instead of £185 so I should be able to
use the motors off these and put them back into the oem radiator do you think ?

Just confirm they’re dual-speed operation and you should be good.
