I have a quick question! So I bought my first ever Nissan 350Z! I love it, everything is perfect but while idling it has a very quiet popping sound, or almost sounds like a skipping sound… almost like a misfire or something I think… but my buddy told me that if it was a coil pack or spark plug that was bad, it would pop up on the dash cluster as service engine soon, and I don’t have that light on yet. But he also stated that if they cleared the code it wouldn’t pop up until I hit 10 miles after it had been cleared! Any one know what the deal is or what it sounds like?

Just pull the codes and see if a P03X code (or other) comes up.
DTCs don't all throw a SES/CEL.
