No A/C
OK, A/C compressor won't engage. Pressure is fine, was working great until radio install. Not sure how that could have affected it, AC fuse under hood in power dist. module good, all switches light up in car, no power to Blue/yellow wire going to compressor, swapped out pdm because I had a spare, compressor works if jumped at blue/yellow wire. Appears relay is not receiving signal to close and energize compressor wire.
Any help appreciated.

In checking this out, pulling the trim around the gear shift, I have found a plug not connected, I can't find a place to plug it up, any ideas as to this 6-pin plug.
And no, no ac yet. waiting on another amp.
Any help appreciated.

The radio install is your clue. The white box below the radio is your a/c & meter amp. There's a ribbon cable going to it. Check the connection and condition of that cable.

Do an Auto Active test to verify the relay in the IPDM is still good. You should hear the AC clutch cycle on and off a few times partway through the test regime.
Most likely culprit is the ribbon cable, it is fragile and you’ve been in there mucking about.
Next to check is the IPDM relay.
Last to check is the AC clutch itself.
I don’t think clutches are sold separate from compressors for the Z, so an AC clutch means a new compressor, if you’re not just down to open the windows.

See in my signature, where it says "former Nissan dealer tech"? Like I said... A/C amp.

I recall a thread where a guy in Atlanta practically tore his Z apart, even disassembling the fuse/breaker panels etc looking for a reason his AC wouldn't operate. It went on for several pages and he never solved the problem until he went to the dealer and had it scanned. He never told us what was the fault, just that the problem was solved in a short period of time. i8acobra, I wonder if he simply had a bad pressure sensor on the top of the condensor, which can be diagnosed with the Nissan software, or even a multimeter. It's nearly impossible to get to on the right front side of the condensor, hence my interest in testing this sensor before I tear everything down to get to it., So since I have the same issue, no AC which occurred suddenly, not over a period of time like a condensor leaking, compressor failing etc. I'm wondering if that's the problem I have. So I'm gonna get the multimeter and the FSM instructions and see what happens. Macanic, that could be a component for you to check too. I've got the front bumper off right now, and still can't see it stuffed up there- used my fiberoptic camera and spotted it.
