I may be wrong but I’m on a budget and not wanting to spend too much money at one time I’ve decided to change just the water pump cause the belt looks fairly new and I think the previous owner has changed it without the water pump cause it was corroded. Timing belt... doesn't vqs run on timing chains?

I’m still kinda new to vq engines as this 350 is my first “actual” project car. From what I understand I didn’t need to change the timing belt but the other belts when I changed the water pump and solved my problem with the coolant leak
