Default 240z headlight conversion to 350z

Has anyone ever tried converting the 350z headlights into 240z style. I think it could look very interesting but also awkward at the same time. I would have to see it tho. I was kinda thinking using the jeep halo led lights could kind of give it that modern look. You would have to make a bracket to set the headlight all the way to the back of the housing. Then fill in the gap between the headlight and the front of the bumper and round, seal, and paint it

Just kind of curious as to if it would work and if anyone has tried it. Feel free to try it if you want because i certainly don't have the time or patience to do it 😂

Why?

See no benefits in form nor function. The nacelles look right on an S30 and equipped with a set of 7” Amplilux or Z beams, the lights work well but still dim in comparison with 06+ HIDs. And, adding pockets ot trapped air on the front of a 33 would screw up the aero. Not a lot but again, no advantage.

Depending on how this was done there may not be room, or at least room to do it right. The headlight is pretty close to the wheel well liner and the wheel. So space may be the biggest constraint.

Yeah, no, I get that. Interesting thought for sure but just don't really think it's practical. But who's to say, maybe it would be cool. I actually have a pair of S30 headlight nacelles in my garage (I think I still do.... or maybe I let them go with the last S30) If I do, I'll haul one out and see what it might look like. Haha. I'd post that up in the "What did I do to my Z today?" thread for a laugh.

Your assumption is correct. It's pretty horrible looking. I've seen it done on a 370z recently as well, and it was equally nauseating. Here you go:

Now there's a guy who missed getting an early Z when they were "affordable" so had to create his own, right down to the headlight nacelles and S130 wheels. Laff!!
