Default Aftermarket Seats Height Question

Hey guys,

My OEM seats are starting to look quite tired. I also have started tracking my car so I am looking into getting something that holds me a bit better. The one thing I am the concerned about is aftermarket seat height. I am 6 foot tall. With a helmet on my head is essentially touching the roof. Is there an aftermarket seat and slider bracket combo that can let me sit maybe an inch lower? Also, my budget would be around $1200. I am sure there are some top end Recaros and Brides that will fit my needs but then I would have less money to spend on track days, tires, brakes pads, and steak.

If anyone has a winning combo that sits slightly lower and is decently comfortable I am all ears. I am 100% set on recliners as I do take this car on road trips and some of the tracks are multiple hour drives.

Thanks guys

I’m 6’2” and have Sparco QRT-Rs with PCI mounts. My roll bar has me more forward than I would like, but I am low enough for good helmet clearance, and it’s comfortable enough that I drive the car upwards of 6hrs each way to some tracks.

My car isn’t a daily, and doesn’t see much use outside of track duty and getting there and back, so take the comfort angle with a grain of salt.

I'm also 6'2" and use Sparco EVO-L with Planted mounts and brackets. Works well for me, I'm at the right angle and relatively comfortable for longer 3-6hr drives to tracks. If you haven't already, pull the headliner out of the car, that'll give you about an inch of headroom. This is also a dedicated track car, so also take "comfort" with a grain of salt.
