New (to me) owner 2004 Roadster
I just recently picked up a 2004 roadster in Daytona Blue. It seems to be in great shape. 129,000 km
The one thing I have noticed on the carfax is the fuel hose recall (2006)has not been completed yet.
Have read some horror stories on getting the work done. Curious what experiences people on the forum have with this? Any suggestions, or advice before contemplating taking the car in to get this done?
thanks
R

Well, your car is 19 years old and if the fuel isn't leaking (yet), I'd tend to think you're in the clear AND, you will have to pay for the work because it's well out of the recall window. No dealer that I know of will voluntarily do the work due to the age of he car - "subject to normal wear and dried out hoses."
FWIW, I own the 391st Z33 shipped to the USDM and at 20 years old, no signs of any leaks/vapor. I'd just keep an eye on things when you fill up.

Thanks, will probably keep an eye on it to start, but I did call my local dealership and since the recall is still outstanding & follows the car (and isn’t a TSB), they will still do the work at no charge to me if I want to get it done.

I did learn something today. That Trav is still so outrageously jealous of me that he has to clown out on how old I is since aside from that, I'm perfect.
One thing to say (from the other end, Trav).... PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.......
Yeah, it's a sad thing too, I actually like the clown.

Yeah, I just smogged my car for sale and the recall showed up and I was informed it was an open notice. Interesting. Learn something new every day.
