Finally got around to pulling the codes. It started with VDC OFF, SLIP and ABS lights coming on and now it seems the front brakes are locked on so I can't drive it. This is an '06 6MT roadster with 80k miles. It was given to me by family member that couldn't drive any longer.

These are the codes I just pulled:
ABS
C1109 Battery Voltage
C1142 Press Sen Circuit

BCM
C1704 Low Pressure FL
C1705 Low Pressure FR
C1707 Low Pressure RL
C1710 [No Data] RR See Service Manual
C1724 [Batt Volt Low] FL See Service Manual
C1725 [Batt Volt Low] FR See Service Manual
C1726 [Batt Volt Low] RR See Service Manual

My TPMS is not showing one of the tires pressure so I assume the low battery voltage is for the tire pressure sensors? But could the low battery voltage code under the ABS control module cause all the lights on the dash and lock the brakes? I'm going to check the battery this week and hopefully it's that easy. I did check brake fluid and it was just below the mid level between min & max. I added Dot 4 to max hoping that would fix but it didn't. I do plan on replacing most of the fluids. It just got an oil change about 1000 miles ago.

It appears to be a bad ground or grounds somewhere.

Thanks Heel! I’ll check it out. So I read on another forum that a misadjusted brake switch could cause the brakes locking up. My grommet was replaced and this is when all the problems started. So after messing with it last night all lights went off and no brake lockup. It started to slightly engage and I pulled up on the brake pedal with my foot and then I could coast again. I need to check brake pedal for any adjustment or maybe switch.

That would make sense. Hopefully, it's just something simple like that and you don't have to go tearing apart things and go on scavenger hunt to clean up ground connections.

Is there an online diagram for the Z’s? I’ve had BMW’s and use realoem.com

It would help in finding part numbers and getting an idea where to find things like the ground points, ABS actuator etc
