Serves you right for selling your spot in line. I guess you were still on the fence about the G35 coupe. Well tell us, are you still on the fence? Can you even see the fence anymore??

Its is KILLING me keeping this car under 4000, and also at least trying to keep it within the boundaries of the law. It was the little devil on my shoulder, "come on brad, I'm not even breathing hard". Every now and then you look at the speedo, and its doing 90 and you had no idea!

It's really not fair, we are being restricted to the same maximum speed limit as some kid in a chevette or some soccer mom in an excursion. Even though it takes her twice as long to come to a stop. There should be a separate speed limit for the Z (as well as compairable cars).

I know! I was doung about 7-10 over, keeping it safe because this strip of road is crawling with cops, when this guy in a station wagon strains to blow by me in the other lane. I just let him, but I was laughing right at him.

BTW, has anyone felt the need for 6th. I just havn't gone fast enough I guess, i know its an overdrive and all, but thats so cool knowing that you have a whole gear left when doing 80.

i have used 6th a couple of times. The only bad thing is at 105 mph the tach is around 4K. So i can't go any faster.

I don't recall my exact speed but somewhere between 60 and 65 mph shifting up to 6th made the revs drop from the high 2000RPM range to the low 2000RPM range. For steady cruising on a level highway, 6th seemed to be a better gear around that speed range. The engine is so smooth that I think people will have a tendency to rev the engine higher than necessary when cruising at a steady speed. I don't think I thought about shifting into 6th until I looked at the tach and saw the needle hovering around 2800RPM.
