Default At the Car Wash...

I was wondering if anyone brought their car to a car wash yet? There is a hand car wash near me, but the car is still pulled through on a track. A friend of mine said the rims will get scratched.

Are you bringing you car to the car wash?

My car will NEVER see an automatic car wash. You don't have any car washes with bays by you?

Agreed. Suffice to say I was quite unhappy with my last $25 "ultimate deluxe super wash and wax" (previous car) and will be doing all my own detailing from now on...

...as soon as I get my Z, that is!!

P.S. ZGiRL, those be some impressive art tastes! Although I think I prefer postmodernism rather than postimpressionism. Hardly an art critic, though...

Oops, I did not mean to start a new tread...

Have not seen one with bays yet in NY and all the hand wash ones still pull your car through on a track.

I know of one that is trackless but it's in Staten Island. SI's Best or something like that. I know no one's going to go to Staten Island just for a car wash but I'm guessing that you might be able to find one without a track somewhere in NY if Staten Island has one.

some of those car washes aint bad. I take my 280z through a texaco one and it does great.....but I do wonder if it is microscratching.

I hate the touchfree washes, your car is dirty again the very next day!

I don't know what I'm going to do about car washing right now. Due to the drought (which I think is over where I live), car washing is banned. We do have a pretty car wash place nearby that does a good job. It has a track, but I haven't ever had a problem with it before.
