Would you give us a quck write up of the job. It would be nice to hear from you. Is there an audio input or a way to get and external audio signal into the unit. How long did the job take.

lauderdale75, thanks so much for this thread. I was thinking of doing this but could not think of a good solution. Yours looks ideal -- not too difficult to install, and a nice clean result. Great work!
I don't think putting it under the dash (antenna) will work. It is just like a satellite dish. It needs a clear "view" of the sky in order to work. In fact, I've heard that even with the antenna on the roof, you lose signal if you park close to a structure that is between your car and the southern sky. This is why they need to install "repeaters" in cities with big buildings to reflect the signal around them.
