impresions from a former e36m6 owner
ok well i have been lurking arouind this board every since i place my preorder, my daytons blue enthusiast is coming in at the end of the month
well my dealer called me and told be they had a blue touring with automatic if i wanted to come and see it (never seen a 350 in real life ) i could not wait . i turned out to the car the owner of the dealership was currently driving and it was on the road already, so of course i asked for a test drive in it,
so hear are my impressions....
paint- looked great in the color but i did notice the orange peal around the doors, but it wasnt that bad at all, now that ive been looking for orange peal on cars ive notice on alot of brand new cars even the more expensive ones..
interior- the door panels felt a bit cheap materials but the rest of the interior was pretty solid to be honest with you,
so i got in and started the car, man it sounded sick, not ricey but exotic, beautiful reverb on de acceration. before i took off i adjusted the seat which felt like a glove( by this time i was in heaven ) i moved the steering around and it seemed very tight , a little heavier than my friends 330ci and just a tad bit lighter than my ex e36 m3,
ok so i slap her in drive and slowly take off, rear visability is not that good but doable, but man did the car feel tight , the car felt like a sports car should, tight and nimble, begging to be thrown around. ride is quite smooth and so is the engine, the car has a nice amount of torque down low pretty damn good,
onto the highway, precise steering and effortless speed, i was really happy with it,
ok the fun part , on the way back to the lot i gave her full throttle, i know its a new car but i couldnt help my self, acceleration is simialar to the e36 with a bit more power everywear,
so being thoughly impressed (even with an auto)i am thirsting now even more for my z to come in, i can not wait,
the car is great , it felt like a z should
