Default changing the differential fluid?

Is anyone changing the differential fluid with there first oil change? Some manufactures recommend changing it (ie BMW). Not sure how hard it is to do or what weight of gear oil to use(redline synthetic).

I use swepco fluid in my diff...it came recommended by some spec miata guys and it's the factory fluid in porsche diffs. I like it much better than redline. I change it every 5-10k miles.

Swepco makes great products and I'm suprised they're not more widely known.
