Default feathering and still a issue with 2004?

Sorry if this has been asked, but is the tire feathering still a issue with 2004 models? I read somewhere in the 2004 models its been fixed?
I don't really even know what tire feathering is.....i just assume its the tires wearing down quick.

I was going to buy a slightly used 2003...but if i'm going to go through more tires...it will pay for itself to get a 2004.

Again, sorry if this is a stupid question or has been asked.

Just love this car to death and don't want to shell out the $50,000 Canadian until i have all my questions answered.

Some say yes, some say no. Do a search for 'tire feathering' and you'll find many threads on it.

Has not been fixed from what I know. I have to wait and see what happens to my car.
