A custom paint job of good quality will cost 5-6k alone. And if your goint to do a body kit, you need to lower the car or its gonna look funky, and after all of that you wont have much left over.

Greddy TT matched with Koni shocks and eibach springs! and possibly sway bars if enough is left over.

For me, since I do not have wheels yet, I would have new wheels, tires, suspension, sway bars, a big brake kit, then exhaust, high flow cats, pullys, plenum, better HID's, a wing, front lip, and if I had enough left I'd have racing seats with harneses. 11K should allow for that.

For 11k, if I were to spend it on the car... swap in a rb26dett with the rb25 rwd tranny, beef it all up. Sell the stock engine/tranny for a few grand and use that money to upgrade your turbo... can you say MONSTER...

I would go a little different route than many have stated. That $11k could upgrade many aspects of the car, certainly more than just raw power by putting in a TT. I would upgrade the suspension and sways, sell the ADRs and buy some nicer wheels of the same design, upgrade the brakes, maybe slap on a few tasteful body kit parts, and either build up the engine NA or go with a SC. Having a well ballanced car will be more fun than one with power but less than desirable handling and braking. It would be sweet to dress up the car and take it to some shows in dedication of Pops. Crawford has some nice polished engine parts that would really dress up the engine bay. Lambo doors are also pretty sick. Sounds like you have already done some interior work. Not sure if an upgraded entertainment system is needed or not.

Well here's the story. My wife's grandfather recently passed away and between my wife's mother, her 3 uncles and her brother we were left 37 thousand dollars. My wife wants to buy a new 04 all wheel drive Passat and she, believe it or not is insisting on me using the rest to buy what ever I want for the Z. I always talk a lot about I want this and I want that but I never actually buy anything for myself. I feel a little funny about spending money on my car being where it came from, but Pop I know would be happy. He always loved cars, even when he was retired he still worked at the Napa in West Orange NJ just because he loved to help other with their cars. So this is the only real comfort that I have in spending this money on the car, I know he would be smiling at all the cool stuff I could buy with it.

So I figure I will have about 11 thousand left to spend and I am looking for suggestions. I have an 03 CS 6spd coupe with an Injen CAI and ADR M SPORT RIMS, Tint all the way around, and a customized interior. So lets here the suggestions, Thanks. And god bless you Pop, we all miss you.
If you are going to do performance mods like a TT or anything else, I STRONGLY suggest you find another Z owner that has that mod and drive it first. I find it interesting that so many people on this thread are 100% sure you should buy a TT yet I am wondering how many of them have driven and compared the TT kits to the SC kits availible or fully built NA set ups?

There are many issues regarding FI including ease of service and longivity in addition to performance. Make an informed choice based on real experience of your own and others real experiences IMO. Good luck, Jeff

I agree with a previous poster that you should put some of that into a good high-performance driving education program. The most expensive racing program at Skip Barber is $3500 for 3 days of solid instruction (they have several other racing and non-racing programs that go down from there in price.)

You'll still have plenty left over to spend on mods for the Z, and the lessons you learn there will be with you long after your Z is gone. Good luck with your decision; it's definitely a tough one!

There is nothing wrong with them, but there are much better build quality wheels out there that will be less prone to bending and such. Also, those who are familiar with wheels would be more impressed if you told them or saw you had a set of Racing Harts, Volks, or HREs.

They steal design ideas from original companies such as Advan, and Volk

If I had 11g's to put into the car, I think I would probably do full na, maybe beef up internals, add a small shot of nos, ecu, tien flex coilovers, full kit and then be done with it. I know it sounds a lil ricer with the nos, but I've been thinking do you really need all that power from FI all the time? This is my first sportscar but it sure does feel fast enough for me all ready. With full na and internals and ecu, it'll make it probably fast enough for me with maybe a 75 shot for those rare moments I feel the need for more speed. At least this way you'll have a great looking, great handling, pretty damn fast car.. instead of one sick fast stock looking car. That's just my .02. If i'm putting 11g's into the car, I want ppl to see it.

I totally agree. I think I am going to go with maybe a Veilside kit, lambo doors and as many bolt on performance parts as I can get. I just ordered an ApexI N1 exhaust and Kinetix plenum, I am looking for a nice Y pipe now. I will be adding headers and high flow cats also, and my next toy is a new digital camera so I can get some pictures up.

I say wait for the superchargers to get better and forget tt-s. Put money into boltons and suspension. After reading Jason@performance eibach tread - I have decided big brakes and suspension would be my priority. Then leave some money aside for the big super charger and all the neat stuff that goes with it. BTW have you thought about getting T top?

Not really interested in the T, but the big brakes and suspension will be done for sure. I have a cousin who paints and I am toying with the idea of some custom paint. I have a thing for hot yellow fast cars with nice shiny rims! I will have the exhaust and plenum on Friday. I will be doing the install on Saturday. I'll post the results.

Who cares? Living for other folks will get you nowhere.
