Interior Question

Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of getting the new Z. When I went into the dealership yesterday I was able to sit in the "base" model (ie. no leather etc.). To be honest, I wasn't too impressed with the interior. How much of an improvement does the touring package make? I understand that this is a marvelous car in all other regards, but from what I have seen (on the base model), the interior wasn't my taste. Too much plastic etc. Any opinions?
By the way, I'm also thinking of a Boxster 2.7 and BMW 325cic.
Thanks!
(p.s. - This is in no way intended to be a flame)

The leather is the only visible difference (I think), I have not seen the leather so I can't say how nice it is.
The Boxster and the BMW interior will be a notch above the nissan, but still have some cheap elements.
Nissan will be faster than either by 1-2 seconds to 60 and in the 1/4 mile though.
I would get the 330Ci if I went with the bimmer, I drove the 325 and it feels like any other car that is it can get you from place to place, but I was looking for some power.
The 2.7 boxster is probably a fun car to drive though. Do yourself a favor and look at the S2000 as well, it is cheaper than the boxster but it is much quicker.

The leather is the main difference. The aluminum petals are on the touring and not the base.
The factory leather seats are head and shoulders above the base cloth seats. They are firm and supportive and hold you in place. To me, the seats made the interior.
ood Luck

when i show my black touring i make sure
they get a chance to sit in the drivers seat.
everyone is impressed with the comfort and
cockpit type feel. it has great support and they
just don't want to get out of the car!
it is the exclamation point when i show
the car off!

I have the burnt orange interior and it looks quite good. While some of the materials may not feel as good as a 330ci, the interior as a whole looks just as good (if not better) and its ergonomics are top notch.
