Lucky call today, but sooner or later
I live on Long Island and I have to take the LIE to work (CRAP RD)
So it was extremely windy today, gusts over 45 mph, normally I
would have driven my Z b/c it doesn't get blown around as much
as my wife's 4 Runner. She's out of town so I said let me take the
truck
Boring.. So I'm heading west on the LIE and the wind is
coming from the front right blowing me and others all over the
place. A couple of DUMP TRUCKS losing crude out the back but
nothing big enough to really damage anything. All of a sudden I
look ahead and see what looks like a scene from the mummy
coming at me and the other drivers. Thankfully most people
slowed down. All of the sand used for the snow and muck had
been picked from the center divider and it hit our cars with such a
force. It had to be at least 10 ft plus in height. I couldn't believe
it and all I COULD THINK ABOUT WAS THE Z and how I had left
her in the garage. So I guess I dodged a good one today
