Default thinkin of selling my coupe for a Z!

Am I crazy!? I have had my coupe for about a year and a half now and I think I want something a bit sportier. I almost feel too young for the G (mid twenties) Ironically, the insurance for the Z will be cheaper than the G. I would ideally like to buy one somewhat modded already (wheels, suspension) Can someone tell me what to do! :-D

I agree with your decision totally. You'll have the rest of your life to enjoy luxotourers...get a sports car while you're still in your 20s. I am in my 20s and sure as hell LOVE my Z...and I initially set out to get a G!

If you want sportier, the Z is definitely a great way to go. Check the classifieds here and www.ebaymotors.com to see if you can find a good deal on one that's already been modded (although that takes half the fun out of owning one).

I know what you mean Scorch, I am in almost the same position. For me its just a grass is greener... type of thing. I love my G but I can't help looking at Z's, S2000's, STi's, etc. and wondering what if. I don't want to take a depreciation hit and still feel like I made the overall best decision for me. If you really want a Z then go for it, you can't go wrong with either car IMO.

You should at least try to get some numbers worked out. There's certainly no harm in doing that. Sometimes the numbers will help sway your decision one way or the other.

Its interesting how the Gs shape has worn vs the Z.

The Z *still* turn heads, The G does as well, but somehow, the longer its been out it certainly does not *look* that sporty at all. Elegant, drop dead sexy? Yes (espec in white and black). The silvers look kinda weak IMO.

BUt yeah, you sjhould have no prob finding a Z. One advantage of getting a used 2003 is you get the original (firmer) suspension and the original nav enclosure wihich works WAY better with aftermarket screens than the new popup one.

mmm, i agree, while the G is sexy, it was never designed to turn heads. I would very much like to find a black or blue track Z w/ wheels or suspension. Also, i think i would like to keep the car for at least 5 years and mod it (tt at least) and am wondering how the reliable the system will be. thanks guys!

I went from a g coupe to Z roadster.
Best move I made. For me, exterior enhancements (wheels, kits) on the g are limited, actually makes it look worse in my opinion. With the Z, i bought the enthus roadster and have had alot of fun in the 2-3 weeks since i bought it in buying 2 tone leather seats, stereo, wheels, etc.

Like many said, choice is up to you but if you're serious you should at least crunch the numbers. But to be honest, I asked myself which car will I love more 2-3 yrs from now.
