I wonder if this is true on the G also. How do you do this?

it's true on most multi-disk in dash players...just hold in the load button to load all cd's or hold in the unload button to unload all cds

Yeah, I have my Passport 8500 hard-wired to the fusebox. It's pretty easy and just uses a regular old phone cord. The 2 middle wires are the only ones you use. One's + and the other is -.

I opened the window a crack 'cause she wanted to 'conversate' and I wanted to appease her enough so that she wouldn't get pissed and kick the car or something.

The catcher for all you guys... this happened at work at 7:15 in the morning. Kinda tells you what kind of neighborhood that I work in.
Again, what is the address of the neighborhood?? LOL

This does not invlove a Z.. BUT, I was in front of Home Depot and I was surprised at what I saw.

Some guy with a new, but a POS daewoo or whatever it was had some rash on the rear bumper from hitting something..

He goes in and buys paint that best matches his car.

He comes out, and just starts sprayin away on his bumper, and he was doing this RIGHT next to someones brand new chevy truck.

Sooo all this overspray was going all over his car, and the truck.

This guys friend was leaning on the truck while the other was painting.

Then, when they finished with TWO cans they threw them in the back of that truck, and left.

What morons..

Dude, you witnessed this and didn't write down their license plate for the owner of the truck? You gotta look out for others sometimes.

My story:
I get all kinds of looks, just like everyone else. My favorite though, was a kid with a basketball under his arm peeking into the driver's side window, exactly like the ad. I saw this from inside my apartment and just started cracking up.

Some idiot outside my work (I work in a salon) spilt coffee on my car door while trying to look inside. Needless to say my night was spent washing and waxing. Zanio needs to start speed ordering.
I dust my car daily, clean the windows, then when I get off I check out my car to see how many others have checked it as well.

HOLY GEEZ!

And it's even hard to believe that such people would care enough to spray paint a car that won't even come close to color matching or blending for that matter. Wish I could've heard this story with the conclusion that the truck driver was a big dude that just happened to come out to witness the act...

Actually I waited outside for the guy for a while, no where to be seen.

So I left a note on his window before I left. Hope he got it.

The overspray on his car was minimal, so he probably didnt care, and it willcome off with a good wash/wax. Don;t know if there were scratches, didnt see any ( from leaning on the car )

Another time in the same lot, I saw some dude in his company car open his door into an older style 911, in MINT condition. I got all his info (plate #, company name, truck # and so on ) before he was able to leave. However, I had to leave that on the guys window as well..

Its just a car.. i can wash it or get it repaired like its anything else. Its just weird people dont see that the Z confuses even its owners. Its not hard to find paint or parts liek its a rare sports car. Just because it looks that nice.. doesnt mean scratches are the end of the world. As long as nobody goes near anything that has to do with the driving of the car or major damages..
see, all those things you speak of repairing cost money, money that i dont want to spend on stuff that can be avoided. simply by having people not do stupid stuff like spill on it, dent, ding or otherwise molest its beautiful finish. sure its just a car, but its MY car, and i dont want morons costing ME money to undo what they did. money that should be going into mods, not body work.

you know what else annoys me?

when passengers get out, they close the door by the window, and not the door, which leaves smudges on the window. grrrrrr.........

On the original topic of this thread....I have this picture that pretty much sums it up...and I'm in the picture, so there's no bias. Kinda funny....we get so used to these cars we forget what other people really think of em...

I parked it in the driveway, so that I could prepare her new home I open the door half the men from my block are all over her. Look, admire, drool but do not touch it!!! I think the Z should have came with one of those talking alarms that say "Get off the car a$$hole".
Oh, i like that idea! I'm calling Charlton Heston right now...."Get your filthy paws of my car, you damn dirty Ape!"

I spend countless hours washing and Zainoing......then some schmuck walks along, "oooo shiny, Sloth touch" The worst.....kids....don't get me wrong, i love kids. But they run up, grasp window sill (if i'm lucky they finish the ice cream first) and start hopping around trying to peek in the window. I'd say something of course but i'm too busy yelling at their parents to keep their dogs from crapping on my lawn :-) "Damn Dirty People!"

we could do that, or harness that little electric shock that the z gives you every time you get out, into one big one that would arm when you hit the alarm button thereby zapping anyone who lays even a finger on the car. i like that idea, to the drawing boards i go.

Fingerprints I can deal with. They don't damage the finish. Its people sitting, leaning, or wiping the dust off my cars that makes me freak.

I don't live in a gated building, although I wish I did. There are sometimes kids (and homeless) goofing off in the parking lot and have many times seen "butt marks" on the back of my prior Z. Then of course there were footprints on the rear bumper too. If I neglected to wash the car for a few days, not only were there now new dings on the hatch, but also deep scratches from the dirt.

Of course that car was like 13 years old. If I catch someone doing it now........

They still sell those 'talking' alarms that tell people to move away when they get too close?

Don't know if they sell those anymore, but I'd think twice in buying one if they do. People find them so obnoxious that they DO something malicious to the car...
