Bumper scuff
Somebody swiped my rear bumper!!! My car is Super Black, and there's black scuff marks on the plastic rear bumper. Anybody have any suggestions on the best way to get rid of the nasty marks? Can you "compound out" marks on a plastic bumper? If so, how? I never had to do this before. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Sorry to hear it...
A coworker swiped my bumper, taking off some paint in the process. He was nice enough to tell about it, and paid for the repairs (refinish the entire bumper). Cost $350 (high end shop).
If there's any paint or clearcoat missing, you're be best to have the whole bumper sanded and repainted. Touching up the affected area is unlikely to yeild satisfactory results. If only clearcoat is slightly marred, a good body shop may be able to color sand it for you.

I had my rear bumper cover scuffed almost a year ago and just put touch up paint on it last week. It looks better and you can't really notice it. Nobody really noticed before I put the touch up paint on it so I doubt anyone will tell what happened without looking for it.
I was going to get the bumper repainted, but the paint shop wanted to blend the paint into the quarter panels, which I didn't want to happen. I've been looking for salvage Zs with good condition LeMans bumpers, but the sellers weren't parting them out.
