Since there's a lot of debate as to whether all 2004s (or just the "2004.5"s) have the "euro suspension" and therefore fixes the feathering. I know about the knee pads, padded center console lid, etc. My early build 04 doesn't have those.

I'm wondering if the service manual indicates the changes. Anyone have access to both the 2004 and 2004.5 service manuals? Does it spell out the ALL the differences somewhere so that we can have a definitive answer?

I noticed that Nissan separates them out at http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/nissa...p?dept%5Fid=46 . Looking at the VINs they mention, my 04 isn't an 2004.5.

It's a clear film that goes over the exterior of the car (primarily the front) offering protection from the elements of the road that cause pock marks and chips (et al) to the paint. Make a search, you'll find plenty of threads discussing this.

 

Actually, I've been worndering if there really is a 2004 Service Manual. The one that's been posted around is the 2003 version. I'd be interested in a 2004 if one was available....

Well, by looking at the link you provided, the 2004.5 has about 516 more pages than the 2004. So there's got to be something they added unless they're all pictures...

 

No, the service manual is a $210 CD that you can purchase from Nissan (I don't know where to buy the hardcopies) that actually details how to service/repair/do work to the car.

Rumor has it that the 2003 Service Manual has been floating around.

 

The CD has the same exact information as the hard copies. It's so that you don't have to have 14 volumes of 2,000 pages to search through. I have a link that is hosting the 03 350Z service manual. If anyone needs it, just PM me.
